First, I will give the credit for the title of this blog entry to @juanchiflis. A «dissident» lawyer, an expert on copyright, entrepreneur and MBA candidate that has recently entered the Web 2.0. When I asked him why his Twitter feed and blog hadn’t been updated for a while he responded (…) I don`t know, since i don’t want to sound like «the Wailing Wall». I have chosen to not write anything. Precisely this comment gave me the idea to post.
I recently askedall my “SUPOSE” followers on twitter yhe following question ¿What is in the Web 2.0 for you and/or for your family? The only person that responded was @carlosrizo also a “dissident” physician, researcher, thinker, ideologue, idealistic, father, husband, innovator, fanatical about life, among other things.
And here the discussion with Rizo.
– He told me that Web 2.0 brought him and his family oportunities.
– I said (…) please be more specific.
– I am now exploring the web 3.0 and trying to see how we can change the world interconnected. Besides Web 2.0 and Twitter generate me some income, he replies.
-I said … people working in Web 2.0 is working separate, no one works together, every one has HIS blog, HIS Twitter account, HIS groups, HIS communities and so on. I don`t see that we are adding value to any member of the value chain of health (customers, suppliers, hospitals, patients, etc). Simply because they are outside the chain. And everyone is looking for HIS incomes.
– Finally Rizo told me: if you are going to complain, go somewhere else, we want people here who can see the other side of the coin, the good of every negative situation, but with taste, go talk to a wall.
Well I went to the «wall». MY BLOG, which generally behaves as «the Wailing Wall»
I don’t realy know what is going on, but it is assumed that collaboration and participation are goals of the web 2.0 without having the need to reinvent the wheel. And we must also enjoy it. Sadly, this is not happening. The collective individualism of all who participate in the construction of Web 2.0 is obvious and very distressing. And when you try to do something new, someone will copy, mught take credir for it, or dismiss it simply because he or she does not like it.
In summary, probably 5 years from now we will be living the 5th reincarnation of the web and the next popular aplication will be Blinder ?? or pensionbook and who knows what else.
BLOGGERS, TWITTERS, FACEBOOKERS, et al. WE ARE IN REACTION MODE STIMULI, BLINDLY FOLLOWING THE GAME THAT NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHO, AND EVANGELIZING LIKE APOSTLES OF GOSPEL WHAT WE DO NOR BEALIVE OR WORST WHAT WE DON’T PUT IN PRACTICE!
It is time to re – think. PLEASE BACK TO THE BASICS!
¿Any comments?
